Kristin Heins, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, C-EFM, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Education has been the foundation of Kristin’s career. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Simmons University, where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society.

Prior, she completed her BSN in Nursing at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, graduating as part of the Gamma Beta Pi Honors Society and receiving recognition on the Chancellor’s List. Additionally, Kristin holds a BA in Athletic Training from Purdue University and a Licensed Practical Nurse certification from MiraCosta College.
Kristin’s commitment to continuous improvement is evident in her numerous certifications, including Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider and Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM). These qualifications enhance her ability to provide top-notch care to her patients.
Kristin’s clinical experience reflects her dedication to diverse healthcare settings, having worked in internal medicine, pediatrics, and women’s health. Her passion for women’s health and childbirth led Kristin to serve in Labor and Delivery at various institutions. In these roles, she demonstrated exceptional care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, as well as neonatal care. She also provided bereavement support and assisted patients with breastfeeding, showcasing her expertise and compassion.
Throughout her career, Kristin has received several accolades, such as the Peer Recognition Award at MiraCosta College and the Nursing Program Award at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. In addition to her work at The Center for Women’s Health, she serves as a Stork Express Instructor and is on the Peer Review Team at Onslow Memorial Hospital.
