Tamara Mitchell, FNP

Tamara Mitchell, MSN, FNP-C, is a certified nurse practitioner at Peninsula Women’s Care. Her career in healthcare started in 2009 in the Hampton Roads area and has spanned several different specialties including endoscopy, mother-baby, pediatric and adult surgery, and women’s health.
“It is such a pleasure and blessing to be able to serve my Hampton Roads community. As a Nurse Practitioner with PWC, I strive to provide an environment where my patients feel safe, empowered, and confident and served.”
Tamara completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Norfolk State University in 2009. After leaving the area in 2018 for a military PCS move, she then completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in Kentucky in 2022 at Frontier Nursing University. She has received training in Nexplanon placement and removal, and IUD insertion and removal and is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Tamara is excited to be back in Hampton Roads and thrilled to have the opportunity to serve her community.
She currently resides in Hampton with her husband and daughter and enjoys running and baking when not in the office. She is excited to be the newest part of the PWC family and welcomes new patient’s to establish care.
